James Gallimore - Villa Visit - 20th October 2010

A day visit from London to the Villa to have meetings and to run over the building works.

09.30 : First meeting was at the Bank de Roma to run over the accounts and cash flow for the project.  Lots of forms to fill in but it all went well.  It was agreed there would be a meeting with the builders, planners and bank on Friday the 22nd of October to confirm the next transfer of funds to Puglia Estates (the builders).

Annabel Moorsom - residential courses at the villa

Just back from doing some research into residential course holidays, i.e. yoga, writing, personal development etc., - well not exactly, I was on a comedy writing course in Greece held by Arthur Smith.
However, while there, I determined what people expect in terms of facilities and activities and what prices can be charged for a wide range of courses - all useful for the out-of-season months at the villa.  The serenity of the olive groves and the citrus orchard make them ideal places to host small intimate groups.
We have discussed several course ideas, including cooking (especially fish), yoga, painting and writing, but there are other areas we can look at - if you have any ideas, do let us know.


For those of you who have not yet had an opportunity to visit Puglia, we will soon be posting some pictures to give you a feel of the area around the villa.

Nigel Wilson Update

Just a quick update. The plastering has been finished on the outside of the houses now, they look amazing it was so the right decision to have them all smooth. We are lucky at the moment as there is still a lot of sunshine so outside work can go at a pace whilst the others get on on the inside.
We went to Trani yesterday (Google it, it is lovely) to the marble and stone mines and ordered all the marble for the houses it is beautiful, and when it is laid I think it will look incredible
